Three Meditations on Southern Harmony

Arranged by Don Michael Dicie
Catalog Number†FC#354

The hymns arranged for this composition are taken from a book titled Southern Harmony. Selections are The Morning Trumpet, Resignation, and The Promised Land. These songs encourage very strong feelings for the spiritual lives we are allowed to lead. Our editor has included a line from each hymn at its beginning to indicate its main theme.

Arranger Don Michael Dicie has been fond of spirituals, folk songs, and plainsong. These are unique settings of these hymns. From 1973 to 1994, Dicie was organist and choir director at St. Paulís Episcopal Church in Franklin, Tennessee. Now retired, he remains Composer in Residence at St. Paulís.
