Hebrew Dance is a happy joyful tune for flute and piano. Care must be given to distinguish between concert "D" and "D Sharp". A tempo of a quarter equals 112 to 120 seems to be effective with this selection.
Composer and flutist Laurie Perks is a graduate of Ball State University and has been a teacher and performer for over thirty years. She has been a member of the Richmond (IN) Symphony, the Anderson Symphony and the Fort Wayne Philharmonic orchestras and is co-founder of the Wings of the Wind flute choir. Her teachers included Robert Cavally, William Wittig and Albert Saurini with further studies in a master class with Jean Pierre Rampal.
