This is a wonderful arrangment for saxophone choir. You need to hear this item. Sopranino, 2 sopranos, 5 altos, 3 tenors, 2 bari, opt. bass sax. The opera Ð“Â¬Hansel and Gretel" was composed by Englebert Humperdinck during 1891-1892. He described it as a fairy tail opera that was written at the urging of his sister Adelheid, the author of the opera's libretto. The overture weaves the many rich folk-music themes of the larger opera around the most famous theme, the Ð“Â¬Evening Benediction." This performance is by the University of Miami Frost School of Music Saxophone Ensemble, Dale Underwood, saxophone instructor.
