Allegro Deciso is an energetic piece requiring good technique from all players, numerous timbre changes, and a nice challenge for the conductor. Grade level is a 6 with the piece running 8'25".
Alex Millet was born in Paris, where he studied classical piano from the age of seven and then harmony and counterpoint. He is a graduate of the Conservatoire National de RÐ“â‚¬gion d'Issy-les-Moulineaux. After some years studying French horn, he turned to jazz piano and played in numerous Parisian clubs with various groups.
After composing a few scores for short films, he turned back to concert music. He has lived in Chicago for three years and pursues composing for orchestra, band and chamber ensembles.
